In November a client hired us to build a hutch for her kitchen. She had a specific location, size, and functional requirements in mind. The hutch we designed and built for her incorporated a butcherblock work surface with a variety of storage spaces. The upper door hinges down and is supported on brass lid stays. The three center drawers aredovetailed maple. The lower drawer, also dovetailed maple, is fitted with full extension drawer slides. The lower door is mortise and tenon with a raised panel. KF

Hickory Doors

This month, we completed a millwork project for a client in northern New Jersey. We were asked to build hickory closet fronts and doors for a home renovation. Pictured below are some of the doors we built for this project. They are built of all heartwood hickory with mortise and tenon joinery and inset tongue and groove panels. The doors are to be hung on site with surface mounted hand forged hardware. KF
